“Autumn, the year’s last, loveliest smile.”
~William Cullen Bryant~
Officially, fall has arrived.
Insert sad face.
Don’t get me wrong, I love everything about the season as much as the next person.
I suppose the changing of seasons just reminds me of how quickly this life passes us by. It seems like the older I get, the quicker time passes.
Woe is me…
…or is it woe to me?
I did my best to stretch summer out as long as I could, but according to the autumnal equinox, I can fight it no longer.
fall has pretty much exploded in my house.
My whole weekend consisted of crafting, decorating, shopping for all things fall. Poor Craistster…he didn’t see it coming.
For all of you sweet enough (or bored enough) (whatever) to read my blog, consider this as an official warning of the future blogs to come. They will pretty much be engulfed with fall, fall, fall!
Let’s get started with a few examples of my madness…
Apple cider jar found at Michael’s this year. Just threw in some twigs and flowers.
I never claimed to be a decorating genius.
Just a basket sitting on the wine buffet. Again, threw in an already made arrangement and some fake pumpkin/gourd thingies. Note the cute owl wine stopper in background…birthday gift from a friend of mine!
Made this arrangement last year. Bought the vase at Homegoods a few months back. Craig bought me the “There’s no place like home” pumpkin last year.
Yes, that is a large bottle of tums in the background.
Not an official part of fall decor…
How cute is this guy? From Pier One last year.
Scarecrow sitting on a shelf in the kitchen. That signs stays up all year long. Funny, it was a gift from the same person (Valen) who gave me the bottle stopper. She knows me so well 🙂
This is a little table in my hallway. The Craigster actually picked out the table from an antique shop a while back.
Welp…that is all…
P.S. I don’t really laugh like that…just trying to add a little dramatic flare.
