5 Things I am Thankful For Today {3}

Everyday I thank God for so many things.
Especially the little things.
This is a little series I created to remind us to appreciate those little things and to not take for granted the simple things in life.
So…here we go…

My last post consisted of my home improvement goals for this year.
As I was reviewing them, I began to get a bit overwhelmed.
A little stressed…then admittedly frustrated.
Then, I was all like…
“Lu!  What are you getting all worked up for?  It’s nice to want to improve things…but guess what?  You need to be grateful for what you have!”
Then, I was like…
“Lu, you are right.  Thank you God that I have a roof over my head.”
Yes…that was me conversing with me.
Come on…don’t act like you don’t do it!
I know I say this a lot, but every day that I am here…I AM BLESSED!

Second on my list is podcast.
Specifically, Freedom Church’s.
I’m not always able to physically be present in church on Sundays, but I am very thankful that they share their sermons via podcasts.
I can watch it whenever I want without missing a thing!

Who isn’t thankful for their friends?
The beautiful faces in this picture are only a handful of  the wonderful people that I am blessed to call my friend.
Truly, thank you all for your friendship!

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy,
they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
Marcel Proust

The hubby brought home this bad boy a few months back.
Gotta say, I’m in love.
You know you’re getting old when you’re in love with a vacuum cleaner.

I don’t really have a maid, but all this talk about vacuuming makes me wish I had one!
Trust me, if I did, I surely would be thankful for her!!

Love you guys and thanks for reading!

What are you thankful for today?

I am also especially thankful for a roof over my head at this point in my journey through life. It isn’t the Taj Mahal, but it keeps me dry, warm and feels cozy (nice word for small) on these cold, wet dreary winter days.

I am grateful I am able to afford cable and internet (that may sound shallow), but over the last 7 months, it has been my companion and provided a connection to the outside world when I didn’t feel strong enough to face it in person.

Most of all, I am grateful to God for bringing a new friend into my life who has helped me believe in myself again and helped me have the strength to start the forward progress in my life and see the small glimmer of light in the darkness I have been living in recently.

Last, but not least, soon I will hopefully be able to be grateful to be back at CFA working out with a community of people that I have missed so much in the last 7 months.

Thank you so much for sharing that Deb. It sounds like you’ve been going through a lot lately and I am so sorry for that. You are a STRONG lady and you WILL get through this with the grace of God. It was so nice to see you back at the box the other night. So can’t wait to see you get back in there. One thing is for sure…CFA not only makes you stronger physically, it also strengthens you mentally and emotionally!

I hate comments...SAID NOONE EVER! ;-)
